Bockarie Kamara
Bockarie Kamara is an AEI student-instructor in drama and dance. After being forced into combat at the age of 8 in Sierra Leone, he was orphaned during a brutal rebel massacre in his village. After being placed in foster care Daru by aid workers, he formed the Vision Stars collective with other orphaned children in the community. He has been an AEI student since March of 2008, and has completed apprenticeships in drama, dance, T-shirt and sign screen-printing, and studio recording. In addition to teaching the other orphaned children in his village, Bockarie also runs a t-shirt and sign printing business with the rest of the Vision Stars.
