In October 2010 we began our arts outreach program at the Young Shall Grow Orphanage in Makeni. We serve 144 orphaned and abandoned children at the Young Shall Grow (YSG) Orphanage, a facility built in 2001 to house former child soldiers and street children. Additionally, we provide workshops for all local foster and street children in the area. Many of the children we serve suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction, and other emotional and behavioral issues.

Our program offers intensive arts camps, and twice weekly workshops in cultural dance, drumming, drama, batik fabric-dyeing, and t-shirt and sign printing.

Our program in Makeni is made possible by partnerships with Total Graphic Design SL, YSG Orphanage, and a generous grant from the Compton Foundation.
